Books.....History of the Kings and Queens of England, Rise and Fall of the Medicis, anything that has to do with European History....my favorite fiction author is David Eddings and his series of books "The Belgariad" and "The Mallorian"...I've read those books every 2 years since the early 80's.
Movies....Anything prior to 1965...anything on TCM....anything with Elizabeth Taylor, Ava Gardner, Dean Martin, Jimmy Stewart, Katherine Hepburn, Cary Grant, Bette Davis, Humphry Bogart...you get the idea...Barefoot Contessa, All About Eve, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, Suddenly Last Summer, The Lion in Winter...anything by Hitchcock. Foriegn films.... Jesus of Montreal, Babette's Feast, Cinema Paradiso, La Vie en Rose, Pan's Labyrinth.
